| Bio: | My rats, Remus and Severus, were born on August 5, 2006. I acquired them on September 9, 2006. Beloved Remus passed away at 1:15a MST on October 24, 2007 due to a brain tumour. He was 13 months old at the time of his passing. Sweet Severus passed on September 19, 2008. I did not note the time, but it was sometime in the evening. He was 2 years and one month old. It is unknown what was wrong. I suspect cancer since it's fairly common and he did have some, but not all, symptoms similar to Rem's. At this time I am choosing to be petless for awhile, because it's too much to go through this heartache approximately every 2 years or so. Rats live on average 2~3 years. Most die from cancer or mycoplasma-related causes, although some do die from old age.   Portal images © Valve.
